What is the purpose?
Specific Objective: 2.4 - Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches
The overall objective of the project is to support the Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme in promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention and resilience, taking into account eco-system-based approaches for the people living in the Romania-Bulgaria CBC area through developing and adopting 1 (one) CBC partnership between Tsenovo Municipality and Hotarele Commune for climate-smart forest management by the end of the project.

644.437,95 €, from which 515.550,35 € FEDR and 128.887,60 € National Contribution

What will happen?
- Establishment of a CBC partnership between Tsenovo Municipality and Hotarele Commune for climate-smart forest management;
- Development of a strategy for better coordination and efficient actions of a CBC partnership between Tsenovo Municipality and Hotarele Commune for climate-smart forest management;
- Provision of information and publicity measures;
- Provision of translation and interpretation;
- Application of climate-smart forestry measures in 18 afforestation demonstration sites in the Tsenovo-Hotarele region;
- Supply of specialized intervention equipment for climate-smart forest management;
- Organization of 2 awareness-raising campaigns, 1 joint training, and 2 round tables on climate-smart forest.

- RCO26 - Green infrastructure built or upgraded for adaptation to climate change: 35.10 ha
