The second Romanian-Bulgarian Joint Workshop under STREAM 2 project just took place!
Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection organized in the period October 27 and October 31, 2025, the second workshop under Activity 2.2 “Updating the Joint Intervention Plan and Common Procedures,” as part of the STREAM 2 project.
The workshop brought together experts and representatives from Romanian and Bulgarian partner institutions, including:
- General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of Romania (Project leader)
- General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection of the Republic of Bulgaria
- The Territorial Inspectorate of Border Police in Giurgiu
- The Academy of the Ministry of Interior of Republic of Bulgaria
- The National Association of Volunteers of Republic of Bulgaria
The workshop took place in the city of Ruse, with the aim of continuing the activities from the first workshop related to the updating of the Joint Intervention Plan and Common Procedures, essential documents for ensuring a coordinated response in the event of a disaster, through the joint allocation of resources, tailored to the type and magnitude of the risk involved.
The event marked an important step in strengthening the response capacity and cooperation between the institutions responsible for emergency management on both sides of the Danube.
