What is the purpose?
Specific Objective: 3.2 - Developing and enhancing sustainable, climate resilient, intelligent and intermodal national, regional and local mobility, including improved access to TEN-T and cross-border mobility
The operation of strategic importance DANRISS 2 project directly addresses the common challenge of ensuring safe, efficient, and harmonized ship inspections along the shared Romanian-Bulgarian stretch of the Danube River. This project's overall objective is to modernize the DANRISS system (developed within Interreg V-A Ro-Bg Programme), transforming it into an intelligent and integrated platform that enhances inspection efficiency, transparency, and regulatory compliance. The expected change is a significant improvement in the quality and consistency of ship inspections, leading to safer navigation, reduced environmental impact and a more level playing field for Danube shipping operators.
The project will produce several key outputs, including:
- A modernized IT infrastructure and mobile inspection units equipped with advanced technology.
- AI-powered tools for risk profiling, inspector support, and predictive analytics.
- Enhanced data management and reporting capabilities.
- Trained personnel capable of effectively utilizing the upgraded system.
