What is the purpose?
Specific Objective: 2.7 Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution
Enhancing protection and preservation of the natural protected areas in the Bulgarian-Romanian cross-border region, through development of a pilot system for monitoring, prevention and reaction to water pollution, caused from shipping on the Danube river.

3.233.777,62 €, from which 2.587.022,09 € FEDR and 646.755,53 € National Contribution

What will happen?
- Design, construction and delivery of pontoons and Photovoltaic installations;
- Upgrading the Integrated Geographic Information System;
- Installing sensors floating technical facility (buoys);
- Acquire boat with electric engine, off-road vehicle and drone;
- Developing of internal procedures in accordance with the national legislation;
- Developing of common cross-border scenario.

Status
The project is under implementation.
The following project activities started during the current period of reporting:
- Activity 1.1 - Working meetings and events – the kick – off meeting was organized on 09.10.2024;
- working meeting within the project was organized on July 8, 2025.
- Activity 1.2 - Design, construction and delivery of pontoons and Photovoltaic installations – the contract on behalf of LP was signed in June 2025 and the contract on behalf of PP2 was signed in February 2026;
- Activity 2.1 - Working meetings and events – two working meetings with participations of members of the project implementation teams from both partners have been organized;
- Activity 2.3 - System upgrade and delivery of one sensor – the contract was signed in month July 2025.
- Activity 2.4 - Design, construction and delivery of a boat with an electric engine, vehicle and drone – EAMA - the drone has been delivered on 19.08.2025.
