What is the purpose?
Specific Objective: 2.7 Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution
Enhancing protection and preservation of the natural protected areas in the Bulgarian-Romanian cross-border region, through development of a pilot system for monitoring, prevention and reaction to water pollution, caused from shipping on the Danube river.

3.233.777,62 €, from which 2.587.022,09 € FEDR and 646.755,53 € National Contribution

What will happen?
- Design, construction and delivery of pontoons and Photovoltaic installations;
- Upgrading the Integrated Geographic Information System;
- Installing sensors floating technical facility (buoys);
- Acquire boat with electric engine, off-road vehicle and drone;
- Developing of internal procedures in accordance with the national legislation;
- Developing of common cross-border scenario.

Status
The project is under implementation from 28.08.2024.
The following project activities were reported by the partners:
- On 09.10.2024, a kick – off meeting was organized in Constanta, Romania.
- On 17.02.2025, an online meeting between the partners was organized.
– On 04.06.2025, LP signed the contract for the design, construction and delivery of pontoons and photovoltaic installations.
– On 04.07.2025, PP2 signed the contract for the system upgrade and delivery of one sensor.
- On 08.07.2025, a working meeting within the project was organized in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.
- On 19.08.2025, the drone purchased by PP2 has been delivered.
- On 26.02.2026, PP2 signed the contract for the design, construction and delivery of pontoons and photovoltaic installations.
- On 27.03.2026, LP published the contract notice for the GIS system and the sensors.
- On 02.06.2026, PP2 signed the contract for the design, construction and delivery of a boat with an electric engine.
