What is the purpose?
Specific Objective: 2.7 - Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution
Increasing the quality of life of the residents in cross-border area by implementing actions to enhance the protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure in urban areas, reducing all forms of pollution.
Dobrich modernizes 8 areas located in different parts of the city, while Medgidia rehabilitates and modernize park 1 Mai, the main park of the municipality.

Status
The following project activities started during the current period of reporting:
- Deploying acquisitions for awarding contract for elaboration of technical documentation and contract for project verification (Medgidia Municipality) - 1 service contract for technical documentation and technical assistance was signed on 28.04.205 and 1 service contract for project verification was signed on 17.06.2025;
- Elaboration of technical documentation (Medgidia Municipality) – the documentation was handed over on 16.06.2025 to the Lead Partner.
Following observations made by JS regarding the technical and financial changes to the technical project compared to DALI, LP has accepted the issues reported and requested the designer to revise the technical project. The revised technical project was submitted to TAU Medgidia Municipality on 17.11.2025;
- Communication – on 22nd of May 2025 was organized the joint opening press conference in Dobrich, which was attended by members of the teams from the municipalities of Medgidia and Dobrich. There were participants from mass media, public authorities and civil society at the press conference.
The procedure for awarding the information and publicity contract through direct acquisition was carried out by LP - Medgidia Municipality and the service contract was signed on 14.11.2025.
