DISMAR Project showcased its achievements at the online workshop “Interreg in Romania”, celebrating 35 Years of Interreg!

Hosted by the National Authorities of Interreg Programmes, located within Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration from Romania, the event brought together Romanian partners who shared their success stories, good practices and lessons learned from projects shaping the Danube region, financed by different Interreg programmes across Europe, in the context of celebrating 35 Years of Interreg.
Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme participated to this event with Danube Integrated System for MARking (DISMAR) project.
As a flagship strategic project financed by Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme, DISMAR is transforming navigation on the Danube with modern, sustainable solutions – from GPS-based positioning systems to eco-friendly equipment.
With a budget of €12.8 million (€10.2 million ERDF), the project is making the Danube safer, smarter and greener for transport.
A special highlight was the presentation from the Lead Partner – River Administration of the Lower Danube, Galați – sharing project milestones and achievements, future goals and a vision for a smarter river navigation.
The workshop was a dynamic space for dialogue, exchange and inspiration among Interreg beneficiaries across Romania.
