Selection of the policy objectives
August 17, 2021Policy Objective 3 and Policy Objective 5 were selected to be financed through the JWG decision no. 4 of September 16, 2020.
PO3 – A more connected Europe
iii. Developing and enhancing sustainable, climate resilient, intelligent and intermodal national, regional and local mobility, including improved access to TEN-T and cross-border mobility.
Within PO3, only strategic projects will be financed. In this respect, a call for strategic project ideas was launched on October 5, 2020.
PO5 - A Europe closer to citizens
ii. Fostering the integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental local development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and security, in areas other than urban areas.
The implementation of PO5 will be achieved through an integrated territorial strategy for a certain area, which should be owned and implemented by the relevant stakeholders from the covered territory.
Policy Objective 2 and Policy Objective 4 were selected to be financed through the JWG decision no. 7 of February 23, 2021.
PO 2 A greener low-carbon transitioning towards a net zero carbon economy and resilient Europe, with the following specific objectives:
iv. promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account eco-system based approaches.
The types of actions related to disaster risk prevention, resilience, taking into account eco-system based approaches shall be implemented through strategic projects.
vii. enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in the urban area, and reducing all forms of pollution.
PO 4 A more social and inclusive Europe, implementing the European Pillar of Rights, with the following objective:
ii. Improving equal access to inclusive and quality services in education, training, and lifelong learning through developing accessible infrastructure, including by fostering resilience for distance and on-line education and training.
